Tyler

Hi my name is Tyler Richins. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and plan to graduate in December of 2018. I have always had a passion for science, and hope to pursue a career as a Physician Scientist by matriculating into an MD/PhD program. To help me achieve this goal I am gaining valuable experience as a research assistant in the Cardiovascular medicine laboratory at the University of Utah School of Medicine. I have been involved with tutoring for many years, and truly enjoy the satisfaction of helping others achieve their academic goals. For two years while I was living in Logan I was a tutor for the Student Support Services at Utah State University. I tutored students in many various courses including organic and general chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. The most rewarding part of this experience was being able to work one on one with students and helping them gain the skills and academic confidence to master whatever subject material they were working on.

In my spare time, I enjoy various activities with my friends and family including fishing, hiking, hockey, and racquetball. I consider myself a very outgoing person and love meeting new people.
